Truck is above average. did I say rare? Unique, not something you are going to see everyday. definitely not in this shape. $22,500 is a great price for a truck like this. that is right between the average and the high.
Little history, before 1960 Chevy converted their trucks to 4x4 and it cost as much to convert them as it did to buy the truck... You did not go to the dealership and buy a 4x4, you bought the truck and they converted them. This is the last year for this body style and the last year of the true Napco. This truck runs and drives greats. It is 52 years old...
This truck is extremely Super fun to drive around. She runs and drives great with very little use as I had a kid right before I finished the truck... This truck gets tons of attention. People walking up to it all the time, (I drive it daily now) wanting pictures, want to talk about it, and point at it as it goes down the road... I have had several classic cars and trucks and this one is the funnest one hands down. You will be the only one with a Napco most places you go.
This is not a chopped up blazer with a 59 body welded on a frame. Stock frame, and factory installed 4x4.
Pulled it out of the garage a few months ago and went through everything again to make this a true daily driver quality truck. The Denali is sitting and I drive this daily now. I threw some new seats in this, (yes I have the stock one) but now have seat belts and car seat anchors for the little one. :-) safety first... New seats are out of 2007 GMC and have the seat belts and car seat anchors in them, plus a console and cup holders. Way nicer then stock... again this is a driver not a show truck. I would drive this anywhere tomorrow, not worries. I just changed all (every) the fluids and it all looked good. New brakes too. 4x4 works, 4 speed tranny shifts good (for a stock 4 speed that is over 50 years old), she is very healthy overall.
Here are the details.
Truck was restored 4 years ago... Motor rebuilt, maybe 10,000 miles on that, new exhaust, center-force clutch etc all done at the same time. Solid good running truck that was converted to a small block 350, slight built with a small cam.
All new MSD HEI billet distributor, MSD coil, MSD new wires, high torque new starter, new plugs, alternator, new top end gasket kit, Optima battery, new radiator and a New Flowmaster exhaust! I am leaving something out but oh well. Basically here is what I didn't replace, glass, rubber, frame and wiring. Not saying this is a totally rebuilt frame off restoration, but it was all done with making a driver, good jump in it and drive Vegas truck. And not cry if it got a rock chip. Today it would be like any other 4-6 year old truck. Not prefect but you are not going to be embarrassed at all by this. But again, try and find a real rust free Napco that you can drive daily.
4 years ago all the paint and body was done too. It is nice but not prefect, the truck was and is driven, but no dents or big scrapes nothing like that. All the rust was cut out, treated and fixed. The inside was rhino lined to keep the road noise and heat down as well as the bed. Works great. Has a custom protech tool box made for it... 20" rims with 35" tires they are about 50%. Tons of money spent on this truck... biggest mark on the truck is there is a spot where the mirrors were and the bondo cracked. bout the size of a dime. Easy fix.
Transmission is the stout original 1959 4 speed with Granny low having no trouble with the 350 and 35" tires. Dealer installed Napco divorce transfer case, I have a dana 44 in the truck now but have the Napco front axle for the truck if you want to go back to stock. If you do I would re-gear it to match the rear. I re-gear it to 4.10 all around.
There is no issues stopping, all the brakes and brake lines have been redone. Then new brakes 2 months ago. I added power steering to the truck, which is a nice upgrade. The guy before me put in a tilt column, nice and I have a stock one too...
If you are interested, come take a look. ;-)
It was built to be a great driver, not a wheeler, not a race car. You are not going to burn the tires off this truck nor are you going to be left at a light. It has tons of power but not overkill. Still wanted to run all the stock running gear.
Only thing that I don't have that was stock is the motor. It was long gone when I got the truck.
This truck is not lifted, they sit high from the factory.
Cab floor is solid! No rust anywhere. The Glass is ok, the windshield has a chip and could be replaced as well as the rubber seal.
I am open to trade for something nice a cool. Might look at a new crew cab... I can add cash to if it really nice.
The truck has newer tires on it 35x12.5x20" they are at about 50%.
Parts are pretty easy to find you can go to Napa for 99% of everything you might need and LMC if not. I even know where to get Napco stuff.
Make me an offer or I might be open to trade for the right thing(s).
Asking $22,500. Not needing to sell it guys, no fire sale here. Happy to keep it and drive it all summer, then put it back in storage and pull it back out in a 2-3 years again. Or it can go to a new home, and I will play with my other toys. ;-)
So new this year...
Optima red top battery
Belts/ Hoses
All fluids, water, brakes, oil, gear oils. Everything was opened, drained, inspected and refilled. It sat with little use for 2 years. I drive my 2 year around in this daily, I have taken the truck to Salem, Sandy, Lincoln City, you name it. No fear to drive this truck anywhere, it runs cool even on the hottest days. It can sit in traffic all day... not a problem at all for this truck. Like I said it was built to be a driver.
If you want to trade it will need to be nice, really nice. No fire sale here. This is paid for, I have the title, I am not hurting for cash at all. If you thinking low ball offers will work, let me assure they will not.

1955,1956,1957,1958,1959. Lifted, Apache, 3100, 3200, short narrow, classic, 4x4, Napco,
